ANY HELP??? IMPORTANT PLEASE!?

hi i want to learn Greek but im confused with the old Greek and modern Greek!! Which Greek is easy to learn the old Greek way written or the modern Greek? how should i start learning? i mean whats the correct first steps to learn Greek in correct way and to completely understand it? how can i learn the pronunciation hence its hard to understand the Greek pronunciation?

You will have to learn the Greek alphabet whether you study the modern or classical language. Which you learn will depend on what is offered in your area and what you want to do. There are a variety of teach-yourself programs including some that are free on line (don’t know enough about them to give advice – my first Latin teacher liked the Cambridge University series). I learn pronunciation best from a live teacher, although a language lab where you can record yourself and compare to standard pronunciation is ok, too. See if a local college or a Greek cultural center offers classes or conversation.
