It’s Difficult To Find The Time To Learn Japanese

Learning Japanese is something that people want to do and they will most probably know why they want to.  If you are thinking of going to Japan for a few weeks or on a business trip this is a good reason.  Or you may not need to speak Japanese at all but choose to in order to impress friends.  One thing is for certain though, and that is that being able to speak another language is worthwhile.

Although I had wanted to learn Japanese for a long time I guess the main reason why I finally decided to do something about it was because I was planning a long trip to Tokyo.  Considering I was going to be living there for 3 months I felt that I should try and communicate effectively in their language.  I’m not sure if I can speak Japanese fluently, but am constantly asked that question.

There is so much more I could teach myself when it comes to Japanese and don’t know half as much as I should, even though I can use the language effectively now.  I think it’s highly unlikely I will ever know how to speak Japanese fluently.  There’s more to learn even if you think you’ve taught yourself well.  For me, a big test of how far I’ve got is when I sit and watch a Japanese cartoon or movie and can understand what’s going on.  If I can sit and watch a movie in English and know what’s going on, then there’s no reason with a little work I shouldn’t be able to do the same in Japanese.

There is still a way to go in my learning but I’m getting there.  Going from nothing to something in regards to learning Japanese has not been easy and you will be asking how I have managed to succeed.  I won’t lie, it took a lot of perspiration and many hours of effort.  I have to admit the journey was most definitely a tough one.  In essence, learning any new language takes a huge amount of time and effort.  I have to admit though that anyone who puts their mind to it can succeed as I have.

Finding enough time to study with other things in life can be tough.  However, with a bit of effort you can study while working out at the gym, for example, or going to work.
