Neighborhoods like these are great because the people who live and work in them use German the way it would be used in Germany (or any other country in which German is the main language). When it comes to German, text book German and the German spoken in German-speaking countries is wildly different. If you do this, you will feel much more at ease when you finally do visit Germany or some other German-speaking country. Getting to know a new language, whether it is German, Chinese, Spanish, Russian or a different language, it doesn’t have to be complicated. For the most part it’s often just a matter of recognizing the most excellent learning tactics.
