What do i do to learn what is this book is about ?
This german book that i am suppose read is in german and very hard to understand .Bleshtrommel is the name of the book(Thin drum). There are a lot of vocabularies in every page.I know that i should not worry about every single vocabulary but there are lots of them. It makes it difficult for me to understand what the book is about without finding the meaning of lots of vocabularies. I am talking about of lots vocabularies. Finding the words definations takes hours to go through a few pages. What do i do ? My german is not bad, in fact i am fluent when i speak. This is litrature and has lots of vocabularies.I know about finding its reviews and cliffnotes and other short cutts but i want to learn how to be sucsessful in reading german books or any other language. Also if i just read the english version of it is not good for imroving my german. What do i do ?

I have also had that dilemma when reading books in other languages. Since you seem to speak German well, I would suggest you get the the Tin Drum and read it along with Die Blechtrommel, that way you would not have those guilty feelings about just reading the English version.
