Basic Numerology Calculations: Simple But Powerful

The usual understanding of most people, who have not been subjected to the discipline of numerology, is that numerology calculations are very intricate and require a high aptitude for higher mathematics. Name: Glynis Elina Johnson

Birth Date: June 12, 1966

Let’s start with the numerology calculations connected with birth date, and look at the two most popular – Life Path Number and Day of Birth Number.

Life Path Number:

The Life Path Number is the most basic of all numerology calculations; however, it is normally thought to be the most important numerological number. It is an outside influence number and can help in getting unseen skills & talents, identify character, entice options available, and show your direction in life.

The Life Path Number is calculated by adding the numbers in your birth date together until you reach a single digit. The only special cases are number 11 and number 22, which are very robust numbers called Master Numbers. In our example Glynis’s Life Path Number is calculated as follows:

Day of Birth Number:

Again, a single number, its numerology calculation is merely the sum of your birth day. In our example, Glynis’s Day of Birth Number is calculated as follows:

Destiny Number:

Frequently referred to as your Expression number, the Destiny Number can be defined as your “Reason in Life”. It delivers a guidebook from the outset of your life to the end. It advises you when to exercise care and when to grasp opportunities. It is a very partisan number and provides a sense of “You”, from a profound personal level.

The numerology calculation of the Destiny Number is based on assigning a specific number to each letter of your whole birth name. The following chart highlights the numbers from 1 – 9 assigned to each letter of the alphabet.

Heart’s Desire Number:

Also often called Motivation, Ambition, and Soul Urge Number, shows what is wanted in life, and what is wanted in life. The Heart’s desire Number displays your deepest most inner motives. This number is somewhat silent; however, when you learn to become aware and recognize it, you can boost your self to extreme levels of success.

The numerology calculation is the same as the Destiny Number, however, it only uses the vowels A, E, I, O, U. Some numerologists incorporate the letter Y.

Vowels:  I E I A O O   9+5+9+1+6+6 = 36  3 +6 = 9
